Christmas Gift Ideas for Little Girls - 2 to 9 yrs old

My girls' ages range from 2 to 9 years old.  These are my picks for them this year plus some other favorite ones from years before.  Some are handmade and some are bought locally and some I had to order online.  I try not to go overboard on presents.  I will make them a pretty, fancy dress for Christmas that I will wrap up that will be from Andy and I.  Last year I made them THESE.

Here are Marmie's picks:

The older girls really wanted a life size, weighted baby doll.  I never realized how expensive these are.  I also really like some of the Waldorf ones too but the girls wanted ones that looked realistic.  I liked the price and the sweetness of Paradise Gallery's dolls.

Since I have been homeschooling, I need to stock up on some more supplies especially athletic ones.  I asked my girls if they know how to Double Dutch.  They don't do that anymore at schools at least around here.  I know they are going to LOVE it plus you can play all kinds of math games and such using the jumprope.  I got two singles for them ply two big ones for Double Dutch.  You can get these at most sporting good stores.

I also like to balance my girlie things with not so girlie things.  So I got Georgia her first real archery set.  We will also get a hay bale and target paper for the backyard.  I want to make her a little arrow bag to wear.  You can also get this at your local sporting goods store.  And for Sophia, I got her a Pink softball glove and ball.  She is really good at hand eye coordination and this will be a fun & easy way to do something in the yard.

I got this great wooden Waldorf dollhouse with all the furniture years ago when my older girls where really little at an antique store in town.  I put it away once they stopped playing with it and am going to regift it to Evelyn who is 2.  I'm still not sure how I am going to explain Santa re-gifting but I am sure that I can come up with a creative story. Wink wink!

I ordered on etsy some wooden peg dolls that are the same as our family of five.  I am going to decorate them and make little clothes for them to go with the dollhouse.

To go with the whole Waldorf doll theme I saw these handmade play mats too.  I plan on making a little  outdoor scene out of felt that can be rolled and laid out with the dollhouse and dolls.  I think Evelyn will love it.

I pinned this adorable denim humpback whale months ago and decided to make it also for Evelyn.  I had to free hand draw the pattern which is pretty tricky to do.  But it turned out pretty cute.  I want to make one more because the first one came out smaller than anticipated.  I used denim on the top and some charcoal wool for the bottom and little white button eyes.
