Mirroring is the act of looking on yourself and discovering your own truths.
Homeschooling the girls has taught me a lot of truths about myself. I have been working on myself and the things that I might complain about or preach to my children to do. Then, I have to be the person who also follows my own advice. There is nothing worse than teaching your kids to do as I say but not as I do. It also goes way beyond parenting and into your marriage, your friendships and your extended family relationships.
Mirroring is the easiest task to see in others but to look at yourself in the same light is rather challenging. Haven't you easily seen that the biggest bully is the very one who complains how people aren't nice to them? And everyone else is sitting there thinking "Hello, that's funny coming from a person who is so mean to others."
What do you complain about?
Where do you do that to others?
