Busy Week, a Lobster & a {Giveaway}

Well first off, Happy Belated 4th of July everyone!

This week has been jam packed full of activities.  Last weekend we took a little trip to Lake City, CO which I will blog about the fun family activities there & such.  Then, there was the 4th then the 5th was my husband, Andy's 35th birthday!  What a great mellow day with the most wonderful thunderstorm that we got to view from our friend's back porch over some pretty tasty Champagne.  Thanks - Debbie & Patrick!

Then we finished the night off with a big plate of homemade Fettucini with Fresh Live Lobster.  I am telling you what - FRESH PASTA is the bomb.  I am still dreaming about how light & fluffy & delicious it was.  Pasta is really pretty easy to make.  Not sure why I don't do it more frequently.  I still have half the dough in the fridge to make another batch.  I can't wait!!  We also tried a new wine - it was a whole cluster Pinot Noir from Oregon.  Ugghhh...  I already forgot the name of it and I threw away the bottle already.  But ...wow!  The whole cluster gives it this tingly effervescent feel to it.  It was delicious.  A great light red to go with pasta & lobster.

Here is the recipe that I used for my Fettucine Pasta tossed in a Moscato Wine Reduction with Lobster & Fresh Basil.  I got it from Williams-Sonoma.  I never go wrong when using their recipes.  They used Pappardelle pasta but I didn't have time to hand cut so I just used my fettucine cutter attachment to save time.
